| On June 4th at Oakledge Park in Burlington, Vermont 27 New England tree climbers participated in the 15th Annual New England Tree Climbing Competition. The overall winners were: Men's Division - Daniel J. Weise of Sharon, CT Women's Division - Melissa LeVangie of South Hadley, MA The champions will be sponsored by the New England Chapter to represent the NEC-ISA at the International Tree Climbing Championship in Nashville, Tennessee in August 5-7, 2005. |

| From a competitive field of 37 climbers Dan Weise placed 34th overall for his first time at the ITCC. With a strong showing in the aerial rescue event, Dan brought home experience and knowledge from climbing with the world's best. Nice job Dan! With a growing field each year in the women's division, Melissa LeVangie placed 7th of 15 climbers this year at the ITCC. Melissa placed second in the throwline event and was the first recipient of a new award called the "Spirit of the Competition". Congratulations to our New England climbing representatives! |
