    UMASS Arbor Needs Your Help!

    Write an email or send a letter to support the UMASS Arbor program! The new UMASS Amherst Dean of the College of Natural Sciences, Dr. Tricia Serio, is deciding whether to re-hire the Lecturer position that will be vacated when Mark Reiland resigns at the end of this semester. (As a reminder, Mark replaced Dr. Dennis Ryan.)

    Municipal Forestry Institute (MFI) Registration is Now Open

    Registration is now open for the Society of Municipal Arborists Municipal Forestry Institute (MFI) to be held February 18-23, 2018 in Litchfield, CT. Registration is open until December 1 or until the class is full.

    2017 Trek des Trees Winners Announced

    Team Youngold takes back the championship as winners of the 2017 Trek des Trees. After a two year rein in first they lost the top seat last year to The Wizened Geezers. Help us congratulate this team comprised of father and son as they have scored highest, taken back first place, and won the grand prize!

    Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Grant Program 2018 Request for Proposals

    The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) and the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC), in cooperation with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), USDA Forest Service (USFS), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), FedEx and Southern Company are pleased to solicit applications for the 2018 Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration program. The Five Star and Urban Waters program will award approximately $2 million in grants nationwide.
