Congratulations to our 2017 Masters' Challenge Invitational Champions

This year’s Tree Climbing Championship was a Masters’ Challenge Invitational held to determine who would represent New England at this year’s North American Tree Climbing Championship (NATCC) in Salt Lake City Utah, October 20-22. According to Tree Climbing Championship Committee Chair, Bruce Duffy, the event was a huge success thanks to the plethora of volunteers who came out to support the event. Duffy explained, “It was a great day of climbing made possible by a dedicated group of volunteers.”  He went on to explain how the event could not be run without the enormous generosity of the event’s sponsors. Congratulations to Bear LeVangie, Russell Plumb and Dan Severino for winning this year’s event. These three climbers will be invited to represent New England at the NATCC. A shout out to Kyle McCabe who won the Spirit of the Competition award! This award goes to the participant who promotes a feeling of camaraderie among fellow competitors and volunteers, demonstrates a genuine interest in helping others do better, gives his or her best and gains from the experience, and enriches the event for everyone else present, by the manner in which he or she competed.
